best thing was the efficient tram network and bus systems that allowed us to get to the theme parks, along popular streets like Cavell avenue and was also a cheap way of travelling. we really appreciated that.

So much to do, my wife and I have now made it our Go To destination for our yearly holiday in October and this year we have started taking random weekend getaways to the GC, I'm 55 and my wife is 42, we are still young enough to enjoy the nightlife in Surfers paradise and enjoy all of the daytime activity options the Gold Coast has to offer.

The Gold Coast is just beautiful, relaxed & friendly.
We stayed at The Iconic in Kirra Beach, which was super handy for the FISHER concert at Coolangatta - KIWI'S Love FISHER!
The food at Siblings was not just good, it was outstanding! It is a culinary experience not to be missed.
The love Street Cafe - the line out the door is worth the wait - the food is wholesome and delicious!
We visited the Pacific Fair - well laid out, with great shops & excellent food.
Burleigh Pavilion is not just a place to drink and eat, it's a vibrant hub where you can mingle while overlooking the surf-break.
Kira & Kira Furniture Store in Burleigh Heads is the store to be noticed. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the stock quality is fabulous, including the one-off pieces and unique artwork. They have a design team to help with the complete set-up of your home and more!

The location of Broadbeach.
The location of Broadbeach. Walking distance to conveniences and public transportation was important because I'm not driving. There is a car park and a bike rack in the lower level if needed. Any issues were met with prompt attention.
The light rail was further away than I thought, but unless you wanted to go to town centers, the bus stop around the corner took me where I wanted to go, like Seaworld.

I like the best:
I like the best:
Walking area along the Surfers Paradise beach
All the shops and restaurants close to the hotel we stayed, walking distance.
I didn't like:
The noise often made by some drivers, bike drivers
This hotel is located in central Gold Coast, only a short 5min walk to the beach and surrounding Soul boardwalk (a strip of dining, shopping and attractions). Driving to and from places, like the theme parks, was also very convenient and with the Bruce Bishop car park ($50/week) right behind the hotel made for easy commuting.
The room was very spacious, together with a small kitchenette and balcony (with a good view). The bed was super comfy and the pillows had the right level of 'density' (not too hard, not too soft).
The location was stunning. Value for money was hard to believe. We were looking for a cheap motel to stay at for our two days at the theme parks but fluked out finding the hotel at a cheaper rate then other motels. Room was huge, clean beds super comfy and super quiet quiet. It also had a 5* view facing the marina and the kids thought we were millionaires coming into that huge shiny foyer. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Wifi was provided on request. Breakfast was a bonus. And had all you expect for continental.
I loved Gold Coast Inn it was very clean, comfortable and central location... the tram is directly across the road or a very easy beach front walk to Broadbeach central for shopping, restaurants, surf club and beach Also directly across the road to the Crown Hotel for the revolving restaurant .
Antonio the manager of Gold Coast Inn went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and was so friendly and helpful ...nothing was a problem. Thank You so much !!
We will definitely stay again in the future.
A great hotel with great pool facilities for the entire family. Buffet breakfast was fabulous for the kids with plenty of variety. All the staff members except one were fantastic, particularly Christian at the concierge and Michael, the manager. The room was nicely presented with great facilities. Comfortable bed with clean sheets. The whole hotel smelled lovely and the doormen were superbly attentive and polite. I definitely recommend their high tea and dining at their restaurants.
The room was quiet large and very comfortable with an excellent view of the runway next door. It is a 1 minute walk to the terminal and 2 minute walk to the bus stop that will take you along the coast to neighbouring towns. There were multiple restaurants in the hotel but also some cheaper options within walking distance. they also give you the option to extend your stay by the hour if needed. It was also very quiet despite its location. Highly recommend if you’re flying out!
Great place to stay for a family with 2 kids. The photos don't do this place justice at all. Views were phenomenal. I typically stayed at 5 star hotels when I travel so I was very close to cancelling. Fortunately, I didn't. It was spacious and the furniture was perfect for my 11 month old to crawl around and explore the whole place. Walking distance to play grounds and great restaurants. The added free extras such as baby cot and high chair was very much appreciated.
Fantastic value for money. Great view, clean and spacious units. Very helpful staff and great location.. Much better than our previous accommodation and was cheaper per night.
Probably the best value accommodation we've stayed in, in a while.
Had everything you needed for a comfortable stay and the 180 degree view from our unit could be enjoyed both inside and out.
Thank you for a wonderful stay..
Will definitely stay here again when visiting the Gold Coast 🥰
Tidy and modern. bang for buck!
Location is away from the noise but still close to walk or bike to the town of surfers.
bikes ride from SeaWorld and just overall a really great hotel! we stayed a week and it was honestly so cheap. it was too good to be true. once we arrived we were very happy! however, it wasn’t peak season so I’m guessing prices would rise around Xmas, school holidays etc
The hotel was the perfect choice for us. Location was right at the center of Gold Coast. We traveled as a group of 4 adults & 1 child and the apartment had more than enough room for us. I love the open living, dining & kitchen area that opens up to the huge balcony. Amenities were also great and the staff were very friendly & approachable. There's also available parking at the basement.
First class, the 2 bedroom spa room was very spacious and clean with wonderful modern decor!
The facilities were great and the staff were so friendly. The Q1 is now 100% my new ‘go to’ hotel on the Gold Coast - just AMAZING!!!
The hotel room was amazing. The view from out the back over looking Broadbeach was spectacular. Our stay was very enjoyable.
I would recommend Meriton Suites Broadbeach to anyone travelling to & staying on the Gold Coast.
this hotel is in a great location. we also booked very late (as another accommodation fell through) and this hotel was the cheapest that looked decent enough to stay in. the view, pool and spa were amazing.
Amazing location between Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach this 5 star hotel didn't disappoint. Room was tastefully and comfortably decorated, with very high quality products and furnishings.
Great price. Rooms are small and basic which is why I guess they are cheap. Very clean. Staff were lovely. Has a vending machine downstairs in lobby. Loved that for after hours.
