Amazing authentic african ‘hotel’ with super atmosphere!
The owner says himself it’s not a hotel, but a home. And it’s easy to see why. This place is a warm community with great facilities and nature hand in hand. The atmosphere and the staff make sure you feel at home and they’ll help you with whatever you would need.
Me and my friends had a wonderful time in this beatiful home and we hope to return sometime soon!

Lovely staff and pool area with excellent food varied each night. The rooms have very small bathrooms and while the beach is lovely at high tide it does recede a long way. This is a very quiet stretch of coast with practically no hawkers or harassment but this also means limited restaurant and entertainment options
Situated just 50 metres from the beach, Bellevue Zanzibar in Bwejuu offers dolphin, crab-catching and Stone Town tours. Kite surfing, snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities are also available.

The garden is perfect to stay during the evenings and to enjoy the ocean and drinks. There you can feel the wind and stay for long nights.
The food is delicious and staff is very friendly. Every day, catch of the day is different and you can try different fishes.
Fruits served for breakfast are delicious.
They clean the pool and room every day.

Bwejuu is set on a beautiful beach north of Paje. There’s a lot to do in the area (caves, forests , spice farms, Rock restaurant) and lots of bars and restaurants however you’ll need transportation to access them.
We travelled around the entire island in an hire car which I would highly recommend, was great fun and easy to find our way around. I would say this area is more dirty and littered which is a shame as the rest of the country is really well kept.

We were a family of 10 people.
We were a family of 10 people. I did not expect to walk in sand all over the place. The foliage kept it a little cooler. The pool was fine and clean. I did not expect no air conditioning and trying to stay cool with a standing room fan.
Food was Ok - nothing special. The drive from the airport after dark was dangerous. The walk to the beach was short. A few restaurants were open down the beach.
We moved to another resort just down the street after one night and had clean rooms, air conditioning, on the beach, great meals. We kept our keys because they said we could not get a refund for the 2nd and 3rd nights we had reserved. They said we could come back and use the pool but did rent out our rooms from the 2nd & 3rd nights.
It was more like a hostel but was not advertised well on Booking.com

Bwejuu is a small village with two shops where you can buy groceries and cosmetics. There is public transport there. In the vicinity is bigger village of Paje where there are more restaurants and shops.
The beach is absolutely beautiful - white sand, wide a very long (excellent for walks and looking for shells), few people there.
The best restaurants are Shanti café and Sahari.
You can hire kite board there and teacher for kite boarding.
8 km from Bwejuu is beautiful place where you can watch sunset and enjoy big bar with excellent drinks and good music for dancing.

Bwejuu has a great beach.
Bwejuu has a great beach. It is relatively quiet with only a few people working the beach to sell tours etc. We met some friendly locals and joined in some birthday celebrations, which was fun.
Best be aware that there is a big tide so you can’t swim all the time. When the tide is in, the water is shallow and very warm.
In the evenings there is a warm breeze that is refreshing and keeps the mosquitoes away.

Bwejuu area is very disappointing.
Bwejuu area is very disappointing. It has a beach that cannot be enjoyed, far from everywhere, much more expensive than Nungwi and much lower quality. It is a complete mess. I don’t understand why Paje and Bwejuu area are so famous
I had an amazing experience here! It was such a welcoming and friendly place to stay. Everyone I met there (owners and staff) were incredibly kind and helpful and even organised a bottle of bubbly to celebrate my birthday! The location is perfectly located near the beach (2 min walking distance away) and the rooms are big, clean and air-conditioned. Would 100% recommend a stay here when you're in Bwejuu. Thanks again to George, Alice, Alex, Mike and Chabby. You made me feel so welcomed and my stay here so wonderful.
- Staff was very hospitable and are always on top of things to make my stay as comfortable as possible
- Great Spa and wellness center
- breakfast
- caught a mahi mahi during a fishing trip, went straight to the chef to ask him if he can cook it for me. within an hour, he made a three course meal out of the fish (compliments to the chef)
- Pool area was nice and comfy but wished the pool had pool bar to enjoy drinks while on the water.
- The hotel is well taken care of in terms of landscaping and cleanliness
The breakfast and dinner was perfect and the selection was plentiful.
Very friendly staff. The Beach bar has a rich selection of drinks and you can also eat there. Isaya the bar boy is a fairy. The sunbeds are comfortable and there is also a shower. Direct beach. The pool is big, the garden is beautiful. Very clean and tidy. Ally the manager solves everything! A very calm place, perfect for relaxation!
Rori luxury villa is one of my absolute favourite hotels that i have stayed in. Starting from the location, which is situated right on the beach, to the hospitality of the owners,Riccardo and Romina, is top tier 👌. It's a picturesque villa that has everything you need in it. The breakfast was amazing. And again ,the hospitality was beyong amazing .
Thank you, Riccardo and Romina
Heaven on earth! We felt like we suddenly have a family with a private beach house in Sansibar. Pia, Hashim, the Massai Barraka and the rest of the crew, included the two dogs and Minosch the cat were so nice, we already miss them, excellent food, everything was made with love. We were really so sad to leave. The service was like in a small leading hotel of the world. A true gem!
a small gem ! very quiet, and cosy away only a 5/8 minutes pleasant bike ride on the beach from paje water sport clubs and night life!
Ursula and jeoffroy are happy and active to make your stay very pleasant
I loved the local live music entertainment during dinner ! I strongly recommend Helwas for the active ones that also cherish quiet and chilled times !
The communication with the hotel was prompt. The owners had answers to my questions and were willing to problem solve with me to get me to and from the hotel as well as to and from my excursions.
There was a welcome gift as well as a hand written note about the tides and the owners and staff checked in multiple times a day about my needs.
Absolutely amazing stay at apartment in Bwejuu, Zanzibar! The food at the restaurant was exceptional, the breathtaking views from the apartment were truly memorable, and having the beach so close was a dream. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. A definite 5-star experience all around!
We liked the place, the staff, the food, the beach, the view. The staff is very friendly and there is a very positive atmosphere. They are all the time making sure that you have all what you want or need. The location is also very good because it is very quiet but close enough to the busier Bwejuu beach.
The cosy paradise on the coast of Indian Ocean! Private villa with an astonishing view to the ocean, comfortable beds, white sandy beach, friendly and helpful staff, nice and clean pool, best food in Bwejuu area. A perfect place for family stay! Enjoyed every minute of our stay!
Beautiful location with a stunning beach. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Very clean rooms and housekeeping always present to clean throughout the day. Manager also very helpful and supportive. I felt very safe in this hotel unlike other hotels on the island.
That was the most incredible boutique hotel we have ever been too. We had a house right on the beach in front of the Ocean. View was breath taking. every morning we could experience the most stunning Sunrise on our own beach ❤️ would definitely recommend!!!!!
We spent a week in Zanzibar in 3 different hotels close in price and this was clearly the best. Everything was excellent from the reception, to the room, the pool and the restaurant directly on the beach and the staff was very kind and smiling all the time.
We had a great stay at Helwas hotel. The place is beautiful, very quiet and peaceful, with a nice beach in front of the hotel and a good restaurant. Our hosts were very kind and helpful. I can only recommend to stay there !
The place is very nice and calm. Great for resting and being peaceful, with a lot of options to seat in the beach.
Good food, several options and fair price. Wifi was good on the restaurant.
Loves the setting of the hotel. You could tell that the hotel is very well maintained. From the rooms to the grounds.Everything was clean and neat.Really nice and relaxing ambiance.
